Jetpac is worth considering if you want a reusable travel eSIM, hotspot sharing and useful extras when a journey goes wrong. Its real appeal is the combination of connectivity and travel benefits. Whether it offers good value still depends on your destination, data use and the conditions attached to those extras.
Checked 28 October 2026. This is a review of published products and official documentation, not a hands-on network speed test. eSIMfo publishes this guide and also sells competing eSIMs. Prices below are a dated snapshot in USD, not a permanent price promise.
What is Jetpac, and who is it for?
Jetpac is a travel connectivity service operated by Jetpac (Circles Global) Pte. Ltd. It advertises coverage across 200+ destinations through local network partners. You can retain the eSIM profile and buy another eligible pack for a later trip; that does not mean one purchase includes every destination or unlimited lifetime data.
The best fit is a traveler who values managing several trips in one app. A family can share a phone connection through hotspot, while a frequent flyer may value SmartDelay. Someone needing a permanent local number, incoming bank SMS or sustained high-volume laptop work should inspect those requirements separately.
How much does Jetpac cost?
The clearest comparison starts with the same allowance and duration. These displayed offers were checked on Jetpac's official Japan, United States and Europe pages. No coupon, referral credit or multiple-pack discount has been applied.
| Destination | Displayed price | Price before displayed reduction |
|---|---|---|
| Japan | $16.00 | $23.00 |
| United States | $19.00 | $30.00 |
| Europe | $22.00 | $32.00 |
Do not choose by the crossed-out price alone. A smaller pack can be cheaper overall even when its percentage discount looks weaker. For Europe, check every country in your itinerary against the selected pack's coverage list; a regional label does not guarantee coverage in every European country.

Jetpac vs Saily vs eSIMfo: a fair price example
For Japan, all three providers displayed a 10 GB data pack lasting 30 days. This table compares that product type, not unlimited plans with different speed allowances. Saily's price comes from its Japan product page; eSIMfo's from our Japan plans.
| Provider | Price | Practical consideration |
|---|---|---|
| eSIMfo | $13.25 | Lowest displayed price in this specific three-provider example; hotspot supported. |
| Jetpac | $16.00 | Displayed promotion; reusable eSIM and conditional travel extras. |
| Saily | $17.99 | Includes optional security features such as ad blocking and web protection. |
The difference is $2.75 between eSIMfo and Jetpac and $1.99 between Jetpac and Saily. That is useful context, not proof of the cheapest provider worldwide. Verify the final payable total, currency, taxes if applicable and exact pack before paying. Networks, routing, extras and refund conditions are not identical.
Is Jetpac unlimited really unlimited?
On the unlimited plans we checked, the first 3 GB in each 24-hour cycle runs at standard network speeds. After that, service continues at up to 1 Mbps until the allowance resets. It is continuous access with a speed threshold, not unlimited full-speed data.
For comparison, Saily's Japan unlimited page states 5 GB per day before a reduction to up to 1 Mbps. That is a different daily allowance, so compare the price for your actual trip length as well. Do not apply either unlimited rule to an ordinary fixed 10 GB pack.
Hotspot is supported by Jetpac. Sharing does not create extra data: your laptop and companions consume the same pack, and the selected unlimited plan's speed rules still matter. Backups, operating-system updates and long video meetings can use a daily allowance surprisingly quickly.
What do free apps, SmartDelay and voice actually include?
Essential apps: Jetpac's product pages advertise WhatsApp chat, Uber, Grab and Google Maps navigation after data runs out with qualifying new purchases of 3 GB or more. This is a useful fallback for messages and finding your way. The wording does not establish free video calls, unrestricted streaming or access after the pack expires; confirm the current benefit terms in the app.
SmartDelay: the official instructions require flight registration at least 24 hours before departure. They allow up to two flights per purchased pack and one registered companion. A qualifying reported delay of at least one hour can trigger a LoungeKey voucher. This is conditional delay assistance, not an airport lounge pass for every journey; participating flights and lounge entry rules apply.
Calls: Jetpac data packs do not include SMS. Its voice packs provide separate outgoing calls using the app's dialer. That is different from receiving calls or bank verification texts on a normal local mobile line. Keep your home line available if you need codes sent to that number, and check your carrier's roaming conditions.
How do you install and use Jetpac?
Check the exact device variant and carrier-unlocked status before purchase. Use stable Wi-Fi to install the eSIM before traveling, then select Jetpac for mobile data at the destination and enable roaming on the Jetpac line. Disable automatic mobile-data switching if you want to avoid accidental use of your home SIM's data.
The checked product pages give unused packs a three-month activation window from purchase. Once activated, the selected validity period applies. Buying very early is therefore not always helpful. Keep the eSIM profile for reuse rather than deleting it after a short trip.

If connection fails, check the correct data line, roaming, remaining validity and the provider's APN instructions before reinstalling anything. Try airplane mode briefly or restart, then contact support with the destination, device model and error screenshot. Avoid sharing your activation QR publicly.
Which provider fits your trip?
| Your priority | Sensible shortlist | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Reusing one setup and flight-delay benefits | Jetpac | Pack coverage, activation deadline and SmartDelay registration. |
| Security tools while browsing | Saily | Enable the included tools; compare the destination price. |
| A fixed data budget at a competitive price | eSIMfo and Jetpac | Same GB, days, destination and final payment total. |
| Heavy hotspot or laptop work | Compare the exact plans | Daily full-speed allowance, reduced speed and hotspot terms. |
If you are comparing Saily, Maya and Jetpac, avoid declaring a winner from a headline starting price. Match the destination and trip length first. Our Saily review and Maya Mobile review explain their different product structures; then compare the live checkout terms for the pack you actually need.
Refunds: check the conditions before installing
Jetpac's terms contain both general refund restrictions and a specific money-back provision for qualifying device-compatibility or connection problems. The latter requires evidence and support troubleshooting before an eligible refund, up to 100%, is considered. It is not an unconditional change-of-mind refund. Keep the receipt and screenshots, and contact support promptly within the applicable claim window.
Frequently asked questions about Jetpac
Is Jetpac better than Saily?
Jetpac is attractive for its reusable profile and travel extras; Saily adds browsing-security tools. In the checked Japan 10 GB / 30-day example, Jetpac was $16 and Saily $17.99. The right choice changes with destination, usage and the features you will use.
Which provider is cheaper than Jetpac?
In our dated Japan comparison, eSIMfo's 10 GB / 30-day pack was $13.25 versus Jetpac's $16. This supports a specific saving, not a claim that eSIMfo is cheaper for every country and pack.
What are five alternatives to Jetpac eSIM?
eSIMfo, Saily, Maya Mobile, Nomad and Holafly are useful candidates to compare. They are a shortlist, not a universal ranking. Compare fixed-data and unlimited products separately, and include hotspot, speed thresholds and coverage in the decision.
What is a good Jetpac alternative for Europe or the USA?
Start with your itinerary: a single-country USA pack and a multi-country Europe pack solve different needs. Compare eSIMfo, Saily and Jetpac for the exact countries, days and data. If you need a number or SMS, verify those capabilities on the chosen product rather than inferring them from the brand.
Does Jetpac support hotspot?
Yes. Jetpac advertises hotspot sharing. All connected devices use the same allowance, and unlimited-plan speed reductions still apply. Phone battery use and local reception also affect the experience.
Can Jetpac receive SMS or bank codes?
The reviewed Jetpac data packs do not include SMS. Separate in-app outgoing voice calls are not a replacement for receiving verification messages on your existing number. Keep that line available and check its roaming setup.
Does WhatsApp still work when Jetpac data runs out?
Jetpac advertises WhatsApp chat and selected essential apps for qualifying purchases of 3 GB or more. Do not treat this as unrestricted video calling or unlimited use after expiry; check the benefit attached to your purchased pack.
Is the airport lounge benefit automatic?
No. Register an eligible flight in advance through SmartDelay, meet the qualifying delay threshold and follow the voucher and lounge rules. Simply buying an eSIM does not give unconditional lounge access.
For a practical purchase decision, start with your itinerary and expected usage, then compare the current eSIMfo Japan options with the Jetpac pack above.
