I Cannot Scan My QR Code, What Should I Do?
Don't worry if you're having trouble scanning the QR code provided. If the code isn't working or you don't have another device to scan it from, you can complete the eSIM installation by manually entering the setup details.
For iOS devices, you can use the "Direct Installation" option or follow the manual steps below. Android users can proceed by entering the installation details manually.
Manual Installation on iOS Devices (iPhone)
- Get Your Details: Go to the My eSIMs tab via the eSIMfo app or website and select the relevant eSIM to view Manual Installation details.
- Settings: Go to Settings on your device.
- Cellular: Tap the Cellular (or Mobile Data) tab.
- Add eSIM: Tap Add eSIM (or Add Cellular Plan).
- Enter Details: Select Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen. You will be asked to enter:
- SM-DP+ Address
- Activation Code
- Confirmation Code (If required, it will be specified in the details).
- Activation: Once the installation is complete, turn on your new eSIM under the Cellular menu.
- Data Selection: Select your new eSIM for cellular data.
- Data Roaming: Enable the Data Roaming option.
APN Settings: If required, set up the APN (Access Point Name) on your device.
Manual Installation on Android Devices
- Get Your Details: Find the Manual Installation information in the My eSIMs tab of the eSIMfo app or website.
- Settings: Go to Settings on your device.
- Network & Internet: Tap the Network & Internet tab.
- Add SIM Card: Tap the Add (+) icon next to Mobile Network.
- Download: When asked "Don't have a SIM card?", tap Next.
- Enter Code Manually: Select Enter Code Manually. Enter the SM-DP+ Address information provided to you in the manual installation tab.
- Turn On Line: Activate your eSIM under Mobile Network settings.
- Mobile Data: Enable mobile data.
- Data Roaming: Enable the Data Roaming option.
APN Configuration: If a specific APN is specified on the installation page, update this information in your device's network settings.
