When do I need to verify my identity?

What is eKYC?
eKYC is an identity authentication process where your identity is verified electronically. For this, you need to upload a document such as a passport and may also be asked to provide an address.
When do I need to verify my identity?
You cannot purchase eSIMs that require identity verification until your identity is verified. Instead of the BUY NOW option, you will see the VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY option.
Who conducts the eKYC verification?
We partner with third-party providers for identity verification processes. Verification may be carried out by different providers depending on the location of the eSIM.
How can I verify my identity to purchase an eSIM?
To verify your identity, go to the eSIM you want to purchase and do the following:
- Tap or click the BUY NOW option.
- Tap or click the VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY option.
- Read the eKYC verification tips and prepare your documents and information.
- Tap or click the START eKYC verification option.
- Add your address if necessary, then tap or click the CONTINUE option.
You will be redirected to a third-party provider to complete your identity verification. Once the process is finished, you will need to wait for your documents to be verified.
How can I find out if my documents have been verified?
We will send you a notification to let you know whether your documents have been verified. If your documents are accepted, you can proceed with your purchase. If your documents are not accepted, you will need to repeat the verification process.
